Dedicated to the memory of Ray

Please add any memories or photo’s you may have of Ray , he was our hero, an absolute legend in our eyes , the best husband, dad and grandad that anyone could ask for.

As many of you know dad loved going on holidays, and his family, its what he worked for and lived for.
Most of you know as well that dad also loved wearing shorts and wore them nearly all year round, so we ask that people dress as if they were on holiday, shorts, bright colours and patterns(he chose the green hawaiin  shirts for all the lads in the photo).

We ask for family flowers only but if you choose to we welcome donations to the two childrens charities Ronald Mcdonald House and Great Ormand Street.

Finally as dad would often say to us “HAKUNA MATATA” and “Hasta Luego”

Thoughts

The Greatest Man I knew a man, he was the greatest man
I’ve known in all my days.
Then one day God called on him,
and now he’s gone away. I loved this man with all my heart,
and in my heart he’ll stay.
Continuing to lift me up,
and lead me when I stray. This great man he was my Dad,
he meant the world to me.
He was always there supporting me,
even when he disagreed. He was my rock, my sounding board,
He could always make me see.
The things in life that matter most,
are truth and family. Even though eye to eye,
we do not always see.
I promise Dad to live my life,
with love and honesty. I miss you Dad so very much,
and deeply it pains me.
I can’t believe I won’t hear your voice,
your face no longer see. I hope you know you’re my hero,
and this you’ll always be.
I will find strength, I’ll carry on,
I’ll make you proud of me. Until the day we meet again,
I know waiting you will be.
In paradise, I’ll see you there,
with your arms wide open for me.

So many good memories of Ray. Its hard to pick just one!! My favourite one is one time we were staying at the house in Spain, we had been out for a meal and went up to the terrace for a drink, Ray and I were sat on the swinging hammock looking at the sky when all of a sudden a large flock of flamingoes flew across when straight after there was a shooting star!! Sleep tight lovely man, watch our for the "ugly bugger cows" lots of love Kim & Den xxxxx

So many memories, having known Ray all my life. At a young age, Ray introduced me to the mini beers he'd bring back from France, 'little green men' as he always called them. My fondest memory has to be at a BBQ at Jenny & Rays, ending up in the garage with Ray building a little table for the beers to sit in. Always have and probably always will think of Ray when I drink one. I'll definitely be raising a 'little green man' to Ray! Hasta Luego x
